You know the story. The getaway car gets away and the police are asking the witnesses for descriptions. Well says one witness, the car was rusty brown in the front but it was red with white trim in the rear. No says another. He has the front right but the back was blue.
This car is a 63 Mercury Comet. According to the guy that was standing by the car it is owned by a single woman who is somewhere in her fifties. She is trying to make up her mind what color she will paint the car so the different rear fenders are her attempt to make a decision.
It’s a pretty clean old car. The guy said the owner had rewired it herself and was doing almost everything else at home as well. It’s an old six cylinder and does pretty well on gas. It’s her daily driver and she is looking forward to finishing it - in a way. In another way she isn’t because she will have to find another hobby.
Hope I see it around town again. Would like to actually talk to the owner.
